The University of Sunderland is 1 of 3 founding members of The Durham UTC Limited trading as UTC South Durham. Therefore, the UTC South Durham, the University of Sunderland and its subsidiaries invites suppliers to express an interest in the following tender: The UTC South Durham (University Technical College) is expected to open on 5.9.2016, at Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham. UTCs are state-funded technical schools for 14 -19 year-olds designed to focus on aspects of business and industry through a partnership of employers and Universities, helping to bridge the skills gap faced by UK businesses. The UTC South Durham is looking for on-site catering and snack arrangements where students and staff are provided with high-quality food at attractive prices which comply with nutritional standards in the School Food Plan. The UTC is keen to promote a healthy lifestyle and this should be reflected in the type of food on offer and the way it is presented.
