Tender description

East Ayrshire Council requires a Service Provider for the collection, transportation, storage (if necessary), treatment and diversion of food waste. The food waste is to be uplifted from the Council's depots as required, 1 in Kilmarnock and 1 in Cumnock (will be operational during 2018). The Service Provider is to supply suitable compliant skips for the bulk collection of the food waste. The Council may consider delivery of the food waste direct to the Service Provider's premises if located within a practical operation distance for the East Ayrshire area. The estimated tonnage is 3500 tonnes of food waste per annum. The contract will be for a period of 2 years with 2 1-year extension options.
