An exciting Tennis Partnership Opportunity at Victoria Park, Leicester Do you want to be part of something new for tennis in Leicester? The LTA and Leicester City Council are looking to work in partnership with a passionate individual or not for profit organisation with the ability and enthusiasm to lead the development of tennis and increase participation at Victoria Park and surrounding areas. The LTA revenue support will be used to kick start the community tennis programme. A Coaching Provider will be recruited for an initial pilot period of 18 months to deliver a mix of free and charged sessions. This will be delivered alongside a programme of community engagement and workforce development. This contract for services feeds into a wider piece of development work that is being undertaken around Victoria park tennis courts and the City Mayors centenary walk. Charged sessions will be introduced as a pilot to test price points. The programme and management will be reviewed in November 2017 and recommendations for future delivery made by the end of 2017. Delivery at the site will be fully inclusive and cover a range of different ages and abilities, comprising of mini-tennis (red, orange, green), yellow ball junior tennis and adult activities – feeding people into more structured coaching on site or into another venue such as a club if appropriate. A focus will be placed upon organised play for adults, family based sessions and fun based activities. During out of term time, school holiday sessions will be run. Delivery of free activity at the sites will be funded by the LTA/Leicester City Council (Sports Regeneration) and paid for activity at the sites will be subsidised over the 18 month period.
