Tender description

North Yorkshire County Council are seeking an innovative technology partner or partners to participate in the provision of a future proof, fully sustainable next-generation broadband network with access to end user applications and services to the rural business communities and citizens of North Yorkshire. The estimated total contract value is between 10 000 000 and 40 000 000 GBP. The Project will use the Competitive Procedure with Negotiation to select a technology partner who will deliver the most coverage in the Intervention Area for the least amount of state aid. The technology partner will: — Have responsibility for establishing, delivering, implementing, supporting, maintaining and upgrading the next-generation broadband network, ensuring long-term sustainability of the infrastructure, — Be required to undertake activities to create the optimal conditions for take up and use of the next-generation broadband network by service and communications providers, including actively encouraging them to do so.
