Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Nottinghamshire City Clinical Commissioning Group (the Commissioners), themselves acting under co-commissioning delegated authority from NHS England, is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Services. The Services consist of primary medical GP services to circa 2000 patients at the Southglade Health Centre in Bestwood, Nottingham, NG5 5GU through an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. The current contract expires 3rd January 2017. The new contract is scheduled to commence from the 4th January 2017 for a period of 5 years. Approval to award for a longer term is currently being sought and tenderers will be advised if this is agreed. The current APMS contract includes the obligation to provide all Essential and Additional Services and a wide range of Enhanced Services. The Practice area extends to the Bulwell, Basford and Bestwood areas. Southglade Health Centre is one of 57 GP practices providing primary medical services within Nottingham CCG area. The practice has 2010 patients (as at 01/04/16) and continues to grow at a steady rate. There are staff directly employed on the current contract who may be subject to TUPE. Contract value: Estimated total contract value excluding VAT of £1,043,000 (total for 5 year duration). Estimated total value excluding VAT is circa £209,000 per annum. Contract duration: The current APMS contract ends on January 3rd 2017 and the Commissioners will be seeking to re-procure services under the terms of an APMS contract for five years. Type of procurement procedure: The procurement will be conducted as an OJEU Service Contract using an Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006. A Prior Information Notice (PIN) relating to this procurement was published in February 2016. Award criteria: The most economically advantageous tender derived using the criteria stated in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents. The ITT reference for this service is itt_437 All completed bids must be submitted by 14:00 on 15th July 2016. All correspondence relating to this procurement throughout all the stages of the process will be managed through the Arden & GEM CSU eTendering Procurement Portal messaging facility only. Bidders have the opportunity to ask clarification questions during the procurement process. The deadline for clarification questions is 14:00 on 8th July 2016.
