Tender description

The primary purpose of this site investigation is to establish local ground conditions in order to inform the detailed design of the Perimeter Engineered Structure at Haulbowline. The primary objectives of the proposed investigation the establishment of the following data: a) Sequence, extent and description of each stratum as it occurs. b) Geological, mechanical and structural properties of each stratum. c) Ground water levels and variations. d) Suitable founding level. e) Nature and occurrence of rock strata if encountered, and the testing of the integrity of this rock. The Investigation Contractor shall therefore be expected to direct the execution of boring, sampling, insitu testing, and laboratory testing to the highest standard consistent with the work of assessing the structural characteristics of the sub-soil.
