Design, Fabricate, Deliver, Install, Test 130 kwe CHP Leisure Centre, Ballymena

Tender description

The Seven Towers Leisure Centre (STLC) is to augment the electrical and heating supply with the installation of a new 130 kW(e) Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP of 130kWe or thereabouts as demonstrated to offer best Value for Money). The CHP will be designed as a base load system and will not export electrical power to the Grid. There is an existing CHP system of similar size and thus already provision for paralleled operation. The successful Tenderer will enter into a contract with the Seven Towers Leisure Centre (Hereinafter referred to as STLC). The Contractor will be responsible for all Works, including the design, supply installation and setting to work of a new containerised CHP system. This contract will include any demolition / down takings (and reinstatement) works to enable access for the installation of the CHP plant, the provision of anti vibration mountings, the chimney and flue works and all allied mechanical, hydraulic and electrical installations required for the correct function of the CHP system. The preparation of foundation slabs for the support of a containerised CHP will be the responsibility of others but the Tenderer will allow in the submitted Contract Price for the Works (The Contractor will be responsible) for providing adequate design information to allow the competent construction of the foundation slab by others.
