Brent GP Access Centre

Tender description

NHS Brent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is exploring the delivery of a GP Access Centre service within Brent. The CCG is inviting expressions of interest from providers with a view to seeking input and feedback from potential providers of these services to help inform the CCG as it considers its requirements and routes to market. The Brent GP Access Centre is delivered at the Wembley Centre for Health and Care, and has been commissioned by NHS Brent CCG to deliver treatment for minor illnesses and injuries without the need for an appointment (staffed by experienced nurses and GPs). It provides for access to GP services for registered and unregistered patients without the need for a booked appointment. A draft Memorandum of Information (MoI) and draft current service specification are available for review. An engagement questionnaire has also been developed to capture input from providers to help inform the CCG’s key decisions around this service. The total contract value relating to the above service is circa £1.4M, based on a one year contract. If the CCG decides to undertake a formal procurement process then this is anticipated to commence in July 2016 through a notice on OJEU and Contracts Finder, with the intention to have a contract awarded by the end of September/early October 2016 and for services to commence by January 2017. Note: An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in any subsequent procurement process nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest.
