BCL-16-01 - Provision of Rope Access Services

Tender description

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of Rope Access Services. The provision of sub-contract industrial rope access services, the services to be provided include; make safe surveys, defect surveys, material sampling & testing. The sub-contract services can only be provided by organisations which can show extensive experience in undertaking surveys of high-rise commercial and residential buildings using Industrial Rope Access techniques. Contractors who wish to tender for the work should have significant experience in undertaking similar contracts. Staff should hold suitable levels of IRATA certification and show extensive experience and training for the tasks they are employed to undertake. Contractors will need to carry appropriate insurances and show compliance with current health and safety legislation. This contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing 18th July 2016 until 18th July 2018. The contract will be renewed on an annual basis depending on previous performance including the ability of the provider to deliver all orders on time. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
