Tender description

ESB plans to develop circa 12 wind farms (up to circa 300MW — with the potential that this may extend to 500MW — in aggregate) in the period from Q2, 2015 to Q4, 2019. The potential scale of these individual wind-farm developments is that they are expected to typically range between 15MW and 50MW. There is the potential that certain individual wind-farm developments may be up to 100MW. The call for competition was to establish a framework agreement. The scope of supply was the supply, erection and commissioning of wind turbines for ESB's wind-farm developments to be delivered under the framework agreement. Long term (minimum 2 years) services and maintenance agreements will also form part of the scope of supply for each of the individual wind-farm developments. The framework term is for a maximum of 5 years, comprised of a 5 year initial term with the right to extend to by a further 5 years at the discretion of ESB.
