Summary of the work WebOps Engineer with Python development background. Specialist role Web operations engineer Expected Contract Length 6 months with an option to extend quarter on quarter at the Authority's sole discretion. Latest start date 4/7/2016 Who Speclialist Work With The WebOps Engineer will work closely with Delivery Manager, Technical Architect & Developers. What Specialists Work On The WebOps Engineer will work closely with development team to ensure continuous delivery capabilities. Skills & Experience • The WebOps Engineer needs to be a multidisciplinary expert who have a deep understanding of networks, firewalls, load-balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, TCP & UDP services, NOC management • Plus Cloud hosting (Amazon AWS), "0" downtime deploy strategies, containerisation (Docker) • Plus Development background (Python) • Plus software pipeline design (Jenkins, artefacts registry) Nice to Haves • User level experience with PaaS (i.e. Heroku, Cloud Foundry) • Kubernetes or Mesos experience Work Location UK Trade & Investment, 1 Victoria Street, SW1H 0ET Working Arrangments Work will be on-site in London (Mon-Fri). Security Clearance BPSS is required for all personnel. Customer will sponsor SC.
