Tender description

The works comprise the removal of the existing timber pedestrian bridge and concrete support walls and foundations; taking up, altering and reinstating existing access paths either side of the river; excavating and filling; topsoiling, regrading and grassing; new piled support abutments and new steel bridge. Any work outside the Contractor’s Site Boundary which affects services, excavations and confined space entry must be carried out with the approval of the Architect/Contract Administrator. The footpaths leading to the bridge will be closed to the Public for the duration of the Contract.
