Tender description

The Company requires an end to end management service for the collection, transportation, disposal and/or recycling of the Company's water works sludge cake across 8 of the company water treatment sites. Whilst it is preferred that all sludge is re-used / recycled the Company is tendering this service to find the most commercially advantageous and sustainable way of disposing of its water works sludge cake in accordance with all necessary legislation and approved codes of practice. The successful supplier shall provide the Company with a comprehensive, reliable and sustainable waste management service for all water sludge cake across its sites. Services shall include: General — Dedicated account management; — A thorough waste collection service in line with each individual sites requirements; — Collection of sludge; — Loading of sludge; — Provision of loading equipment; — Provision of permit/license for us of Company's loading equipment; — The provision to weigh all sludge removed from site using applicants own weighing equipment; — Transportation to end destination; — Disposal/ recycling of waste; — Self-maintained documentation for auditing purposes; — Provision of monthly weight tickets for all sludge removals from sites; — Provision monthly data reports; — Clear accessible audit trails; — Annual waste samples taken and shared for every site. Where the end destination is to be land: — Identifying and secure suitable land bank availability; — Application of deployments to the EA and all associated activities (data analysis, soil sampling, risk assessments, analysis of waste, benefits statements, sign off by relevant trained Facts and WAMITAB personnel); — Stockpile management; — Spreading; — Post application services.
