School Minibus Insurance and Broker Services

Tender description

Derby City Council currently maintains and insures a small fleet of seventeen (17) minibuses that are owned by ten (10) different schools within Derby city. These are insured separately to the main fleet of Council vehicles. The number of minibuses the Council maintains and insures for participating schools can vary from year, as can the number of participating schools. The initial contract period is two (2) years; the contract is estimated to commence 01/10/2016 and expire 30/09/2018. There will be an option to extend the contract for up to three (3) further years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. The maximum contract period is five (5) years. Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation must do so by 14:00, Tuesday the 12th of July 2016. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns has been revised to allow for assurance on the pricing bidders can offer, and is now is 14:00, Wednesday the 24th of August 2016. The process is being run via the Council e-tendering system www.eastmidstenders.org where you can express interest and obtain the documents. Please note we will only accept expressions of interest through the e-tendering system.
