Tender description
London Procurement Partnership (LPP) contracts as Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and is issuing this Prior Information Notice of its intention to undertake a competitive procurement of a Framework Agreement for Outpatient Pharmacy Dispensing Services. With an increasing number of LPP member organisations looking to generate efficiencies and service improvements in Outpatient Pharmacy Dispensing, LPP has taken the decision to tender for a framework agreement for these services. The aim of the framework agreement will be to enable LPP member Trusts and NHS organisations throughout the United Kingdom to accelerate and streamline the procurement process, thereby allowing for early realisation of benefits. Likely to be accessible only through further competition, the purpose of the framework agreement will be to achieve a degree of standardisation of headline governance and outline specification. Furthermore LPP will be creating a further competition tool-kit for organisations wishing to use the framework agreement thereby seeking to standardise the approach so as to simplify processes for supplier and NHS organisation alike. This notice does not constitute a call for competition. The purpose of this PIN is to encourage any organisations interested in delivering Outpatient Pharmacy Dispensing Services under a framework agreement to engage with LPP. LPP wishes to gather information and intelligence as to how LPP can develop a framework agreement and run a procurement process that will enable LPP to meet the needs of its member Trusts and NHS organisations entitled to use the resulting framework agreement. LPP encourage any organisations interested in delivering Outpatient Pharmacy Dispensing Services under a framework agreement to engage with LPP. Further details on how to engage and the process LPP will follow can be obtained from: marc.osborne@lpp.nhs.uk The deadline for expressing an interest to engage is Thursday, 30.6.2016. LPP is not liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in or participating in the engagement process or by those tendering for any future contract opportunity.
