Tender description

The seven NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across Essex are intending to procure an Integrated Urgent Care Service county wide in the latter part of 2016. The service to be procured will be based on the Integrated Urgent Care Commissioning standards published in September 2015, to deliver to the public and healthcare professionals a single point of telephony access into urgent care, alongside their registered GP and affording the CCGs the ability to coordinate urgent care intervention through the NHS 111 service, the Clinical hub and an Out of Hours telephony & appointment service. The service will assess patients with their unplanned urgent care needs, working in partnership with the wider urgent care system across ambulance, primary, community, secondary, mental health, social care and the voluntary sector
