Tender description

London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) intend to enter a contract for the procurement of mobile phones that have been produced with the aim to minimise social and environmental impact by using conflict free minerals, as well as Fairtrade gold, in conditions that protect the employment rights of workers throughout the supply chain and by producing a design that is repairable thereby extending the phone's useful life. This is a unique offering, at the time of this notice. This notice is to allow purchase on behalf of our members and the other consortia listed at Annex A, plus staff and students. It should be noted that as the staff and students are not covered by the Regulations, their potential spend is not included below. The contract will be reviewed every year of the 4 year agreement, prior to renewal, to allow LUPC to react to any new entrant coming to market with a similar product.
