Market Engagement Event - Orthodontics in Yorkshire and the Humber

NHS England - North (Yorkshire and the Humber) commissioning team, are hosting a market engagement event to discuss the upcoming procurement of orthodontics in Yorkshire and the Humber, and consider options for the development of a high quality and effective orthodontic service for the patients in the Yorkshire and Humber locality, in line with both emerging national guidance and increasing demand. This facilitated event will primarily focus on, but not limited to: • the Oral Health Needs Assessment for orthodontics; • Proposed lots for procurement; • Service Specification; • Standard UOA price versus bidder defined UOA price; • Discussion about the process for wind down contracts; • the use of a Referral Management System NHS England is committed to improving services and has an opportunity to improve, re-develop and re-commission the current orthodontics pathways over the next 3 years. GDPs, specialist orthodontists and secondary care dental service providers are cordially invited to attend and contribute to the discussions, and help inform the future strategy. Market Engagement Exercise NHS England wish to invite views from potential providers on the potential service models for the delivery of orthodontics in Yorkshire and Humber and are undertaking a market engagement exercise. The event will be held on 1st July 2015 at Primary Care Commissioning (PCC), Manor Mills Suite, Unit 2 Manor Mills, Manor Road, Leeds, LS11 9AH from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
