Tender description

This tender will establish a contract where all current and possible future instrument maintenance, calibration, spare parts, consumables and some chemicals can be purchased in accordance with our requirements. The services and supplies required under this contract are on a reactive and cyclical basis, as determined by the Client. The services and supplies required relate to a number of analytical equipment systems and instruments installed from various manufacturers and suppliers requiring planned, unplanned and cyclical maintenance, calibration and repairs. Specific maintenance, repair requirements, replacement parts and consumables are outlined in Appendix 3 Pricing Schedule. As NI Water's laboratories are ISO 17025 accredited, NI Water currently maintains an annual equipment maintenance schedule and, upon award, the successful Contractors shall undertake planned preventative maintenance and calibration works on or before the date specified by NI Water. Economic Operators who wish to participate in the following specified lots for equipment calibration must therefore be ISO 17025 accredited/or equivalent (Lots 1, 2, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25). Economic Operators who wish to participate in lots 12 and 13 should be appropriately COSHH certified gas safe and LEV trained where appropriate. For equipment breakdowns and/or repairs, NI Water requires the successful Contractor(s) to provide an initial same day and/or within 24 hours response from being notified of an instrument issue and call-outs to inspect said equipment must be within the times specified for each lot (see Appendix 3 Pricing Schedule). Preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment must be at the frequency dictated in Appendix 3 Pricing Schedule; and all parts used during preventative maintenance or repair must be manufacturer certified — No generic or factored alternatives will be accepted. NI Water envisages a single Contractor being appointed for each of the lots in Appendix 3 Pricing Schedule. As such, those Economic Operators wishing to participate in any lot must fully complete the associated tabs in Appendix 3 Pricing Schedule. NI Water will exclude any Economic Operator who has not fully completed the associated tabs for each of the applicable lots. During the Contract, NI Water will work with the Contractor(s) to drive continuous improvement in the delivery of the Services with a view to improving efficiency and reducing overall expenditure.
