Tender description

The Secretary of State for Defence (the Authority) through the C-130J Project Team, intends to place a contract with Marshall of Cambridge Aerospace Limited (‘the Contractor’) for the requirement detailed below: The Assessment Phase for a Secure Beyond Line of Sight communications modification with a contracted option for the Integration Design and Trial Kit Installation of a Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Secure Beyond Line of Sight communications modification to RAF C130J aircraft. It is considered that this contract can be placed using the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication of a Contract Notice pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011). This is for reasons connected to exclusive rights and for technical reasons relating to the Hercules C130J aircraft.
