Alternative Provision Co-Production Workshop Invitation

Dorset County Council are seeking to develop the Alternative Provision services for young people who are not attending an educational setting in Dorset and/or have complex special educational needs. We are inviting expressions of interest from any organisation who work individually with children and/or young people to attend a workshop event to co-produce the service on 28th June 2016 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in Dorchester. Please note a further date may be made available in July if further work is required. The current service delivers mentoring which enables activity and evidence towards educational achievement. The service is likely to: • support children and young people aged 5 – 25 years. • be outreach based, at a centre within Dorset or a mix dependent on need. • deliver be-spoke individual &/or group accredited learning, mentoring and basic life skills • be looking for emergency and assessment placements We would like this opportunity to build positive relationships with stakeholders, gain experience and knowledge and to establish the services that may be possible from all stakeholder perspectives.
