Tender description

Hampshire Constabulary invites suitable companies to express their interest to tender for a contract for the recovery of vehicles and other property with short-term storage. It is not intended to separate vehicle recovery and short-term storage. The successful bidder will be required to recover vehicles and other property (such as bulky items), providing storage facilities in accordance with the Authority’s requirements to meet the operational and strategic policing needs throughout the two counties of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The contract(s) will commence 1st October 2012, expiring 31st March 2014 and relates to the recovery of vehicles in and around the Portsmouth, Havant, Horndean and Hayling Island areas of Hamsphire. The allocation of work will not be exclusively to the successful tenderer Companies wishing to register their interest should only apply if they can demonstrate that they have considerable experience operating within the vehicle recovery/storage environment. The Constabulary is not seeking expressions of interest from Vehicle Recovery Management Agent organisations as it wishes to contract directly with Vehicle Recovery Operators.
