UK-Leicester: Provision of a Domestic Waste Mgt & Waste Minimisation Service

Tender description

The provision of Waste Management Services for University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (Domestic Waste only: Note, some categories of domestic and electrical waste may be excluded from the tender at any time by UHL). The Services include provision of bins, collection, transportation, treatment, disposal, recycling and reprocessing of all waste streams including but not limited to (hazardous and non-hazardous), domestic, and electrical waste streams. There will be a strong emphasis on assisting with implementation of waste segregation to support recycling and reprocessing. The successful provider will aim at reducing the amount of waste to the level of National waste reduction target which is currently at 25% (see SIMMs report). The Trust has developed internal Green Agendas and as a result is looking for service provider(s) to support them with this initiative in order to ensure strict compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines.
