THE HEART OF BIRMINGHAM TEACHING PRIMARY CARE TRUST CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF LANGUAGE INTERPRETING SERVICES FOR BIRMINGHAM INTEGRATED LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SERVICE (BILCS) BILCS is a supporting Interpreting Service, designed to supplement the existing in-house Interpreting Services already in place within the NHS Trusts and PCTs across Birmingham. The BILCS service has an annual spend in excess of £1m and is funded by three Birmingham PCTs, namely ;Heart of Birmingham Teaching Primary Care Trust (HOBTPCT), Birmingham East & North PCT (BEN), and South Birmingham PCT (SBPCT). The BILCS contract for the provision of language interpreting services shall be for a fixed period of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further two years. HOBTPCT is seeking to commission a number of second tier language interpreting service providers to facilitate interpreting assignments across the three Birmingham PCTs NHS sites, listed below. The HPC and BILCS are keen to encourage a wide range of private and public sector companies to tender for this contract. Suppliers are encouraged to bid for the second tier service provision in selected lots outlined below.
