Establishment of A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Provision of Home to School Transport Services (2016 – 2021 with an option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years). Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council wishes to provide a high quality home to school transport service comprising of modern, well equipped vehicles. We are looking for well trained, motivated operators, drivers and passenger assistants who will take on board the duties and responsibilities associated with the service requirements. In accordance with these aspirations the Council intends to work in partnership with its chosen operators to constantly improve the quality of the service and vehicles during the period of the contract. Successful operators will be expected to participate fully in this partnership arrangement and to positively contribute to the achievement of the Council’s aspirations for the delivery of the service. In order to meet the ever-changing transport requirements the Council is introducing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to offer a more flexible and responsive procurement. In order to adequately cover client requirements, the DPS will comprise the following Lots (based on seating capacities): Lot 1: 4 – 8 Seat Vehicles Lot 2: 9 – 16 Seat Vehicles Lot 3: 17– 49 Seat Vehicles Lot 4: 50+ Seat Vehicles Lot 5: Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles Bidding organisations may express an interest against one, more or all Service Lots.
