BACKGROUND AND PROJECT OVERVIEW The MAC provides a contemporary world class home for all arts in the centre of Belfast. Opened in April 2012, the MAC is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished pieces of contemporary architecture in Northern Ireland. In the period since opening, the MAC has been visited over 1 million times by locals and tourists alike. The MAC is seeking to appoint an Integrated Consultant Team (Consultant, Sub consultants and Supply Chain) that together will have all of the right skills, and are considered most capable of working in partnership, for the provision of full design and project management services for a new stone facade and support system to the Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC). It is envisaged that this will include but may not be limited to the following disciplines: • Lead consultant / Project Manager • Architect • Structural Engineer • Quantity Surveyor • CDM Co-ordinator Other disciplines may be required from time to time in order to inform and complete the design. The Contract period is estimated to be from April 2016 to March 2017. ESTIMATED VALUE The estimated Contract (fee) value, excluding VAT, of the Contract is in the cost range £45,000 and £70,000 The estimated construction contract value of the preferred option is £600,000 to £700,000 excluding VAT. FORM OF CONTRACT An NEC3 Professional Services form of contract shall be used for this Contract.
