Strategic Partner for Support Services Outsourcing

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a private sector partner to invest in, develop and provide a range of support and transactional services through a strategic partnering arrangement for an initial period of ten years with the option to extend for a further period or periods of up to five years in total. The output of the contract will be to; - Support the regeneration of the City Centre, a Strategic Partner being committed to take up occupancy of buildings in the Business District, when developed. This is aimed at expanding job opportunities within all, but particularly, the high value ranges. - Provide VFM and more accountable services in the delivery of support services from a customer perspective - Increase investment in IT and Property infrastructure to transform the in-house ways of working and improve the delivery of frontline services - Reduce revenue costs in supporting the delivery of frontline services wherever possible It is envisaged that the initial phase of the project will include the delivery of information communication and technology ("ICT") services, property services and facilities management services. It is anticipated that subsequent phases of the project will include the delivery of a range of corporate support and transactional services. The Descriptive Document attached provides further details on the contracting authority and the scope of the project. The majority of the above services are currently provided internally by the contracting authority.
