Tender description

As part of the ongoing regeneration and improvement works at St. Luke’s Gardens (Sydney Street, Chelsea), it is proposed to replace the internal fencing segregating the church yard from the recreation ground with all new bespoke cast iron railings on a stone plinth, to match the boundary fence present along the church frontage to Sydney Street. The works propose: • Removal of exisiting heritage memorial stones for reinstallation at a later date; • Removal and disposal of redundant existing chain link fencing; • Hand excavation and installation of a concrete footing for the new boundary fence; • Installation of a Portland stone plinth and decorative metal railings to match those pre-existing along the Sydney Street frontage of the church; • Replacement of the memorial stones; • Making good adjacent soft landscaping. It is anticipated that the Works will commence on site in August/September and be completed in early December of this year. The RBKC project manager is available for site visits if required; please send a message via the CES portal before Friday 26 April to arrange a visit (requests after this date cannot be guaranteed).
