Tender description
The British Library is starting a project to digitise further between 0.75m and 1.25m pages of historical British newspapers from its collection, from at least 35 titles spanning the period 1620-1900. The results will be made available on the web for researchers and the general public, together with 3 million pages already digitised via two earlier projects. The Library is offering for tender a single commitment contract to provide digitisation services, principally OCR scanning and content analysis, for this new project.
