Tender description

In his manifesto for the 2012 election the Mayor of London committed to creating local Safer Neighbourhood Boards (SNB) at the Borough level. The Boards will be holding Police to account and will act as a link between communities and the Police on a range of important issues. As the City of Westminster moves forward in establishing the local SNB, the role of the Safer Neighbourhood Board Independent Chair has been created with the following objectives: •To work closely with City of Westminster partners to establish the Local SNB •To drive forward the continuous development of the SNB •To ensure the SNB operates effectively and meets the aims and requirements set out by MOPAC £500 per day (inclusive) It is anticipated that you will be required to work approximately 10 days per year and the contract is for one year initially, with the option to extend for up to two additional years Please see attached job description, and guidance document for further information Closing date: 5pm on Friday 7 March 2014 Shortlisting: week commencing 10 March 2014 Interview dates: week commencing 17 March 2014 For further details please contact: Adam Taylor, Head of Commissioning for Community Safety (ataylor3@westminster.gov.uk) or Mick Smith, Head of Community Protection Service (msmith@westminster.gov.uk)
