Opportunity to develop the Tri-borough Local Offer for young people SUMMARY OUTLINE The tri-borough (Westminster City Council; the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) is seeking to appoint a consultant with expertise in commissioning education provision for young adults with learning disabilities and/or young people for whom the Local Authority would expect to maintain an education, health and care plan beyond 16 and up to 25 years. We believe the Children and Families Act 2014 presents an exciting opportunity to work with partners to shape provision for young adults with a range of additional learning needs. We are keen to take this opportunity to shape the future so that our young people and their families can be given the best chance to learn and gain employment in or close to their local community. The tri-borough is committed to working in partnership with parents/carers and young people and is recently undertaken an extensive consultation about the Local Offer.
