Tender description

Earlier this year, The City of London ran a tender exercise previously titled ‘Adult Community Support Service’. The service was advertised through the London Tenders Portal tendering system. The City received ITT submissions from a number of bidders, however further to completion of our tender compliance and evaluation processes, the City decided not to proceed with the tender as no submissions fully met our requirements. The City has been conducting a ‘lessons learnt’ exercise to reflect on the tender process, both internally and also by engaging with organisations involved previously. We are now planning a new commissioning tendering process having made amendments to our requirements. The City of London Corporation is re-commissioning three of the early intervention and prevention services it commissions to support adults with additional needs, carers and people with memory or cognitive difficulties in the square mile, and will be doing so under one procurement exercise titled ‘Reach Out Network”. The purpose of re-commissioning these services is to enhance the service requirements, improve coordination between the services, make the most effective use of resources, and meet the needs of the Care Act 2014 by providing early help, community advice and support to those who need it most. It is recognised that this may require specialist knowledge in different areas. This notice is intended to make the market aware of the upcoming tender opportunity, please see attached for more detailed information. We aim to issue an Open Invitation to Tender in January 2016.
