SOFT MARKET TESTING EXERCISE FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDCARE PLAY SERVICES FRAMEWORK CONTRACT (PLEASE COMPLETE THE ATTACHED EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM). Dear Colleagues The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) and Westminster City Council (WCC) invite interested providers to a presentation on the future of school-age childcare and play services in each local authority area. This event will take place on Wednesday 11th February 2015 from 9.30am until 12.00pm at Kensington Town Hall, Committee Room 1 (accessed via Civic Reception): www.rbkc.gov.uk/venuesgeneral/general/how_to_get_there.pdf This event will provide an opportunity for you to: • Gain insight into the Royal Borough’s commissioning intentions for centre based play services currently operating out of eleven primary schools and holiday play services provided from up to six sites throughout the year. • Receive further information about the timescales of the commissioning opportunity for school-age childcare and play services in RBKC • Understand the tendering process, capital e-sourcing system and how to give your tender the best chance of success • Use your local expertise to input into the service design including the needs, proposed specification and outcomes, including identifying unmet needs and measuring outcomes • Network with other local providers and services We will provide a progress update on the childcare and play review in WCC at this meeting. Please note that this event relates specifically to School-Age Childcare and Play Commissioning for children and young people in RBKC and Westminster.
