Publicly funded Immigration Services in England and Wales

Tender description

The Legal Services Commission (LSC) would like to invite tenders from organisations that have the experience, skills and ability to provide accessible, independent, quality assured legal advice and representation services in the Immigration and Asylum category of law across England and Wales. Contracts under which our civil legal aid providers currently deliver Immigration and Asylum advice and representation services will come to an end on 30 September 2010. To carry out legal aid Immigration and Asylum advice and representation services after that date, organisations will need to have successfully tendered and been awarded a new civil legal aid contract in the Immigration and Asylum category of law to commence from 1 October 2010. The tender process will open on 30 November 2009 and close at 12 noon on 28 January 2010. Please note: These Invitations to Tender are solely for the Immigration and Asylum category of law (excluding services to be delivered at Immigration Removal Centres which will shortly be advertised separately). We intend to invite tenders for all other civil categories of law in February 2010.
