Provision of Replacement Laboratory I.T System

Tender description

The requirement is for a laboratory IT system for the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust (ORH) and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC). The ORH is a multi-site large teaching hospital with over 8 million requests per year and a work load that is increasing by approximately 5% per annum. The aim is to provide a single IT solution of high quality, that is reliable and has guaranteed 24/7 support from the supplier. The system must be able to manage the work flow for Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, Cellular Pathology, Blood Bank and Microbiology (including Virology). It must be able to interface with analysers, order communication systems, POCT equipment, clinical systems and Blood Track. It must have the capability to provide for the management information needs and billing requirements of the Trust. The requirement will be for a well developed off the shelf solution with an established user group and a client base. The system must be able to work with the CRS solution for the region which is to be implemented shortly.
