Provision of Physical Access Control System

Tender description

Hampshire Constabulary on behalf of Hampshire Police Authority is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced companies for the Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance Service in relation to a Physical Access Control System (PACS) throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Hampshire Constabulary currently employ access controls across their sites to facilitate controlled auditable access to specific sites across their estate. The same smart card is also used to provide logical and physical access. To ensure compliance with Home Office guidelines, Hampshire Constabulary is seeking to ensure their estate is protected in accordance with the requirements of FIPS 201 Personal Identity Verification (PIV). The contract will include the design, supply, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance support of a Physical Access Control System. The contract will be for a period of 5 years with an option to extend annually for another 5 years, subject to satisfactory performance at the discretion of the Constabulary.
