Tender description

The primary purpose of the Essex Child Health Information Service (CHIS) is to manage data and statistical information which supports the provision of public health services to children and young people aged 0-19 including: Health Visiting, School Nursing/5-19 Healthy Child Programme services, Looked After Children (LAC), immunisation teams and primary care. This includes recording notifications of new births and babies moving into the area, requesting records, updating the child health information system with movements in and out, and managing school health records, public health intelligence support and record transfers. The CHIS plays a critical role in the local delivery of the national antenatal and newborn screening, immunisation programmes and in the collection, reporting and distribution of other child health data and information in a timely and efficient manner.
