Provision of a Managed Publishing Service for NIEA

Tender description

The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA - formerly the Environment & Heritage Service) is an executive agency within the Department of the Environment. NIEA takes the lead in advising on, and in implementing, the Government's environmental policy and strategy in Northern Ireland. The Agency carries out a range of activities, which promote the Government's key themes of sustainable development, biodiversity and climate change. Its overall aims are to protect and conserve Northern Ireland's natural heritage and built environment, to control pollution and to promote the wider appreciation of the environment and best environmental practices. NIEA and its predecessors have published a variety of books and material on the built & natural heritage of Northern Ireland. Major publications previously produced by NIEA include; Strangford Lough: An Archaeological Survey of the Maritime Cultural Landscape Harnessing the Tides: The Early Medieval Tide Mills at Nendrum Monastery, Strangford Lough. It has also published major monographs over the past 50 years on archaeology and the built heritage. NIEA wishes to appoint a service provider to provide a range of publishing services relating to the design, print, distribution, marketing and sale of a range of books.
