Primary Care Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) for Milton Keynes Patients

NHS Milton Keynes invites expressions of interest for the provision of a primary care musculoskeletal physiotherapy service, to include assessment and treatment, with a likely contract start date of 01/05/2011. The opportunity is offered in four Lots, each of which relates to physiotherapy activity provided to a cluster of GP practices. Bidders may bid to provide more than one Lot. Please note that the likely service start date for Lot 4 is 01/10/2012. The service specification describes a service where the provider works closely with the cluster GP practices to provide evidence-based physiotherapy, supported by robust regimes for self-care to achieve effective outcomes. Each Lot will be offered under a block payment arrangement. Bidders must demonstrate how they will operate to support a reduction in health inequalities across populations. Lot 4 includes provision of physiotherapy to a small group of children attending a special school. This activity will include specialist physiotherapy, which will be described in the service specification and will include various physiotherapy needs (beyond musculoskeletal physiotherapy).
