Patient & Visitor Wireless Internet Access

Tender description

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust requires a Patient and Visitor internet access system across the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital campuses to allow public access to the internet via the Trust’s existing wireless infrastructure. Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust requires that WiFi coverage be available in all areas of the hospital where there is existing WiFi infrastructure and that any connection to the hospital network be shown to be secure and that the system prevents access to the clinical side of the network from the public side. Suppliers are invited to describe the technical hardware and software required to implement a patient and visitor WiFi access system, together with complete definitions of the service that will support it. The system and service should be flexible and configurable. Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust will need to be satisfied that any installed system passes the penetration tests as deemed appropriate. If the system fails remedial action by the supplier must be undertaken.
