Invitation to Tender for NEX16/39 Bus Services for Nexus Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive. It is anticipated that the contract will be for a term of one year, with an option of extending for up to one year should this be necessary, and will provide a service which links the main points of interest in Sunderland city centre and an enhancement to the University of Sunderland inter-site transport. The contract will be tendered on the basis of operating a specified timetable and will be for the operation of one vehicle (to be supplied by the contractor) which shall be low floor, easy access, meeting Euro 5 engine emission standards and meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Acts with a minimum capacity of 60 passengers.
