MRI Additional Capacity

Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals is seeking additional MRI capacity either through an existing fixed unit or a mobile unit. Any mobile unit can be positioned at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Haywards Heath. Should a mobile unit be used this can be connected to the Trust electrical infrastructure which is metered and the Trust will charge the contractor at cost. The successful contractor is expected to provide all facilities management themselves. Offerors should confirm their ability to provide their own facilities management. The Trust is looking to implement the contract as soon as possible. The Trust will send a minimum of 280 patients per month to the successful contractor. The contractor will be responsible for providing scanning only; reporting will be undertaken by Trust staff. The majority of referrals will be outpatients but there may be inpatient scans.
