Tender description
The BBC is seeking a supplier for the provision of an international connectivity solution for its overseas bureaus, utilising a mix of terrestrial and satellite delivery mechanisms. The BBC currently has a presence in approximately sixty countries around the World. The initial requirement is for approximately twenty of the international offices operated by the BBC World Service and BBC Monitoring to be provided with dedicated connectivity. The selected supplier will provide a managed service for supply and management of connectivity to these offices for the duration of the contract. It is anticipated that the new connectivity network will be rolled out by the selected supplier within the eighteen months following award of contract. Countries which contain offices within the scope of this procurement include: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Ukraine, USA and Uzbeki
