HS2/305 Tunnel Boring Machine specification research

Tender description

This invitation to Tender (ITT) is issued by High Speed Two (“HS2”) Limited (“Employer”). As part of the Employer’s work in designing an integrated railway proposition, the purpose of this ITT is to seek a Supplier to undertake a study of the relevant design parameters to be considered in the specification for Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). The study is required to ensure that the Employer is able to consider all the parameters that are required to specify a safe efficient TBM. The outcome of the study is a single consolidated Final Report, in both a PDF format and an editable format, detailing the results of this study. The Final Report shall identify any necessary further areas of study to further progress remaining issues (which shall be the subject of a further competition).
