Fuel Poverty Warm Homes, Better Health Service

Tender description

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (The Council) inviting organisations with relevant experience of providing fuel poverty home outreach services submit bids for the above contract(s) on behalf of Kingston Public Health Department. The Council aims to achieve the following Increase the level of warmth in the homes of older residents in the Royal Borough of Kingston who are at risk of experiencing fuel poverty and to reduce their energy bills. The project will also reduce the likelihood of cold related illness within the targeted households using a range of health promotion activities. The service provider will be expected to complete 300 home visits to Kingston residents in 16/17, as well as training local partners on fuel poverty. These home visits will include a comprehensive health assessment, and the provider will be expected to make brief health interventions as well as making referrals to other health services in the borough for those in need. The contract will commence on 1st August 2016 and will be for a period of 1 year. The tender process selected for this contract is an Open Process, meaning that suppliers will submit Supplier Questionnaires to assess their competence and capability to deliver the contract at the same time as submitting Tender documents to determine how they will deliver the contract.
