The maximum cost over the four years would be £55,000 if we only used Dr Ahmed, but this is the worst case scenario. The actual cost over the 4 year period should be half this amount. The costs will be met by the H.R. revenue budget 4404352/13052 Locum Doctors/Police Medical budget expenses. The current baseline budget has been set at approximately £20K for 16/17. Therefore, direct savings, if we used Dr Ahmad, at the worst case scenario, would be £6,000 per annum in 16/17. It is therefore suggested that the baseline budget for locum doctors should be reduced accordingly, and any remaining budget used elsewhere within the HR budget.
