First Wessex - Insurance Consultancy for self insurance feasibility study

First Wessex is looking to procure an independent insurance consultant or consultancy services to conduct a feasibility study regarding ‘Self Insurance’. This review should include a review that makes a comparison between our current level of cover against taking a greater level of self insurance and identifying what the potential savings could be in our insurance costs. There is no specification for this tender as we unable to define exactly what we require at this point so we have chosen to run a competitive procedure with negotiation and to use the chosen providers knowledge to define the requirement. It’s for this reason we have simplified the procurement process and shortened the deadlines so we can shortlist potential companies to interview. PLEASE NOTE: We are not looking at to procure brokerage services or actual quotes for catastrophe cover from insurance companies at this stage, just independent advice on the level of saving we might be able to achieve and the processes involved in setting this cover up and a report to identify the potential risk and exposures to be considered.
