Tender description

Stoke on Trent City Council is seeking to establish a contract for the enclosed processing of biodegradable municipal waste (eg in-vessel composting) collected from households in North Staffordshire. The output from the process will be high quality marketable compost to meet PAS100 specification. The service provider is required to provide a site in the Stoke on Trent area and operate the service for a period of upto 15 years. The Council anticipates the requirement for processing to be 30-40,000 tonnes per year. The service is required to commence operation no later than March 2010.
