Tender description

The Northern Ireland Environment Agency is an Agency of the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. Within the Agency's Environmental Protection Directorate the Water Management Unit operates a laboratory complex based at Antrim Road, Lisburn. The Agency is currently in the process of upgrading/renewing some of its critical laboratory systems. The Trace Metals Section is an analytical laboratory whose primary task is the analysis of trace concentrations of metals in waters, effluents and sediments for compliance with the requirements of EU directives. The section requires an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS) with a collision or reactive cell capability for analysis primarily of saline and fresh waters with minimum pre-treatment.
