Central Procurement Directorate Supplies and Services Division Project Code:_834 / ITT_1381 Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) – Investing for Health Strategy Review Central Procurement Directorate (CPD), Supplies and Services Division, on behalf of its client, the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS), wishes to invite tender offers for the above Contract. The Department requires a service provider to carry out a review of the “Investing for Health” strategy. In Northern Ireland the Investing for Health Strategy, developed by the cross-departmental Ministerial Group on Public Health (MGPH) following extensive public consultation, was launched in March 2002. It is a strategic framework for action which has two overarching goals – to improve the health and well-being of all the people of Northern Ireland, and to reduce inequalities in health. Investing for Health aims to shift the emphasis from the traditional focus on treatment of to the prevention of ill health. The contract is anticipated to take effect from early July 2009 and must be completed by 30th April 2010. Tender documents can be obtained electronically from CPD’s eSourcing NI tendering system.
